Skin becomes firmer, regains its elasticity, fine lines and wrinkles are visibly reduced, pores are smaller and circulation is stimulated so the overall condition and appearance of the skin improves.

Microneedling addresses fine lines, wrinkles, acne scars, hyper-pigmentation and skin texture by stimulating the skin’s natural ability to produce new collagen formation creating healthier skin.

The forehead, around the eyes, cheeks, around the mouth, neck and chest are treated most often, but Rejuvapen can be used on problem areas like surgical scarring to reduce prominence.

Procedure time ranges from 30-90 minutes per area depending on the treatment area.

• Wash the face thoroughly a few hours after treatment., Gently wash the face with tepid water and a gentle cleanser and remove all serum, and other debris such as dried blood. This will improve the appearance of the skin and allow for better subsequent absorption of the post procedure serum. Mineral makeup may be applied the following day.

• For the first 1-3 days the skin will be very dry and feel tight. Some flaking is normal.Frequent use of RP Copper Complex Cream or other hydrating products will help alleviate this. Use sunscreen daily. Physical sunscreen is recommended.

• After 2-3 days patients can return to regular skin case products or as soon as it is comfortable to do so. Vitamin A products are optimal and suggested.

• Avoid alcohol based toners for 10-14 days post treatment.

• Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 10 days if possible.

• Day 1: Erythema, red appearance and severity will depend upon how aggressive the treatment was performed.

• Day 2: A red hue or pink hue persists like a moderate sunburn. Swelling may be more noticeable on the second day.

• Day 3: Skin can be pink pr normal colour. Swelling subsides.

You will actually see visible results after the first treatment, and results improve after subsequent treatments. It is recommended to have 3-6 treatments for optimal results.

Please be sure to follow the before care instructions that we will give you. This includes not using Accutane for the past 6 months. Also, no Retin-A products can be used 24 hours prior to treatment. In addition, no autoimmune therapies or products 24 hours prior to treatment.

We also ask that you avoid unprotected sun exposure for two weeks prior to treatment. We can’t treat sunburned skin. Also, if you are prone to cold sores, start your medication two days prior to your Rejuvapen treatment. Finally, on day of your treatment, please arrive with freshly cleaned skin.

Some areas of treatment may be more sensitive than others, which can lead to some discomfort.

Immediately after treatment you will look as though you have a moderate to mild sunburn. Your skin may feel tighter and warmer than usual. This will usually subside within 24-36 hours. You may see slight redness after that period. Your normal skin care regimen can resume after 24-48 hours.

After the initial treatment, patients often notice that their skin has a healthy pink glow and that fine lines are diminished. Skin naturally takes roughly four weeks to synthesise new collagen, but it is not until about four months that clients can see the full effect of microneedling treatments. It is suggested that patients receive six treatments
